Vanish — Digital Footprint Scanner ("Vanish", "we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Vanish Chrome extension accesses, how it is used, and your rights.

1. What We Access

When you connect your Google account, Vanish requests read-only access to your Gmail inbox. We scan email metadata (sender addresses, subject lines, and dates) to identify accounts and services linked to your email address.

2. What We Do NOT Do

• We do not read the body or content of your emails.
• We do not modify, delete, or send emails on your behalf.
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or profiling.
• We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

3. Data Storage

All scan results are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. No personal data is transmitted to or stored on external servers. Your data stays on your device.

4. Permissions Used

• Identity: To authenticate your Google account via OAuth2.
• Storage: To save scan results locally in your browser.
• Host permission (sudo-wheat.vercel.app): To enable communication between the extension and the Vanish web dashboard.

5. Revoking Access

You can revoke Vanish's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account Permissions page. Uninstalling the extension will remove all locally stored data.

6. Third-Party Services

Vanish uses Google's OAuth2 API solely for authentication. No other third-party services receive your data.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
